To approach Government and resolve problems of the leather industry

During the year 2011 the association will continue its efforts to resolve the problems of its members as maximum as possible facing at the stage of imports/exports, lodge protest against counterproductive decisions / policies announced through budget & trade policy, to make representation and exchange of correspondence with competent authorities as well as to form delegations and hold meetings with the ministers concerned, federal secretaries concerned, chairman, federal board of revenue (FBR), member (sales tax), member (exports), member (customs) and chief executive or secretary of the trade development authority of pakistan (tdap), governor, state bank of pakistan, chief collector/collectors of customs & sales tax, income tax authorities etc. To highlight members’ genuine issues/non-payment of refund claims as well as to point out the government’s harmful policy decisions which affect the tanning industry. The main purpose of the association will continue to help its members to assuage their grievances and to give boost to the export of leather industry as well as to help ameliorate the economical condition of the country.
