. To approach Government and resolve problems of the leather industry

. International fairs & delegations

PTA annually organizes Pakistan Pavilions in different destinations abroad for participation of its interested members with prior approval of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) on due Government subsidy in International Leather Fairs in various countries to display their finest quality Finished Leather & Leather Products in order to fetch sufficient export orders as well as to establish business ties with these countries as also to accentuate the image of Pakistan in world-wide.

The Association successfully organized Pakistan Pavilions in 7-International Fairs during 2010 in different countries i.e Italy, France, China, Hong Kong and Indonesia. Due to tough competition in the International market, the Association is determined to evolve well considered strategy to explore more business avenues abroad.

A PTA’s delegation comprising 10-member delegates visited Vietnam from 31st January’2010 to 3rd February’2010 and Indonesia from 3rd to 6th February’2010 to explore new business avenues and a number of export orders were obtained by PTA’s member exhibitors.

To achieve this objective the Association has decided to participate in the above International Fairs & Exhibitions to be organized with the approval of the Government during the year 2011 in really potential countries for active participation of its members to introduce their quality products. This will also cause to earn maximum foreign exchange for the country as well as to generate funds for the Association too.

For the year 2011 PTA is planning to search new markets in Brazil which has great potentials for finished leather.

PTA is lucky to have received all pending subsidies admissible on Int’l Fairs during 2010 and hope to receive same gesture of cooperation from TDAP under the new Chief Executive, Mr. Tariq I. Puri for the encouragement of the member participants.
