National Institute of Leather Technology situated in Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi is constantly engaged for providing technological knowledge to the interested students in the field of leather & leather garments and products to improve design, productivity, cost effectiveness, skill development and quality awareness of leather industry and to conduct research and experimentation on leather processing, leather garments and leather made-ups including leather footwear.

Similar institute set up in Gujranwala is also catering for the need of providing training for skill development in leather technology.
