. Representation to Government

A number of Standing Committees of PTA have been constituted for the year 2011 to deal with the relevant issues and recommend the same to Government for necessary action and redressal on the subject of Sales Tax, Customs, Import/export, Income Tax, Re-finance etc. and for organizing maximum International Fairs abroad with due subsidy.

At zonal level, both the zones are actively engaged in dealing with affairs of the leather industry to resolve the problems of PTA’s member firms at zonal level like health & safety, pollution free environment, Infrastructure, Law & Order situation, Power & Gas Supply, Sewerage System, telephone etc. as well as to represent members’ problems to the provincial and local authorities concerned and hold meetings with the high officials i.e. Distt. Government, Police Department, WAPDA/KESC, Water & Sewerage Board, Gas & Telecomm-unication etc.

These activities will continue at regular pace during the year 2011 for redressing the grievances of Association’s members through letters and holding meetings with the competent authorities concerned in the form of delegation, in particular.
